Greenway was hired by the Humboldt Trails Council to produce the first-ever Jammie Jog event as a way to engage the public on proposed development of the Bay Trail, a multi-use corridor that would span northern Arcata to southern Eureka. The outreach effort, which includes events like the Jammie Jog, is a collaboration between Humboldt Trails Council and Humboldt Area Foundation.

The Jammie Jog was a 1 mile and 5k walk/jog/run with fun activities along the route. Over 200 people registered and arrived dressed in their jammies early on Sunday morning. Jammie Joggers received a Humboldt Trails Council membership, breakfast, a bouquet of tulips and news about the developing Humboldt County Trail System. Prizes were awarded for runners with the best times in different age groups and for best costumes.

The event featured two large posters illustrating the Bay Trail experience, with a timeline of anticipated development, fundraising and construction phases. Guests were invited to draw and write about the many ways that they would like to use the trail once it is complete. This engagement strategy brings life to the real character of the future Bay Trail: a fun, safe, transportation link that allows the community and its visitors to interact with the Bay, view its wildlife and share in the beauty of our region.

This event would not have been possible without the support of over 36 community partners including local County and City agencies, local business sponsors, and volunteers in support of the Bay Trail.
