McKinleyville Fire Department
Revitalizing Safety: Upgrading and Expanding McKinleyville Fire Station Greenway undertook the challenge of upgrading and expanding the McKinleyville Fire Station due to the town's rapid growth. This involved doubling the building's size, implementing necessary technology upgrades, and ensuring budget adherence. Upgrades encompassed improved alert systems, enhanced sleeping and cooking facilities, and modernized station functionality.
Arcata Fire Department
Elevating Safety: Revitalizing Arcata Fire Station Greenway spearheaded a strategic planning process for Arcata Fire, involving community members, fire personnel, and board members. This led to the decision to modernize existing facilities instead of pursuing a costly new one. Greenway then designed updated facilities that met current needs while allowing for future growth. Transforming a historical volunteer station into a modern facility for a full-time fire department in Arcata's historical district posed challenges, requiring innovative solutions.
